Turochas “T” Fuad is the CEO and co-founder of travelmob – an online accommodation marketplace that connects travellers with hosts across the globe who have unique accomodations and experiences to offer. Headquartered in Singapore, travelmob was acquired by HomeAway, Inc. (Nasdaq: AWAY) in mid 2013.
Prior to travelmob, Turochas was the Managing Director for Skype Asia, responsible for its business expansion across the Asia Pacific region. During his time there, Turochas led and launched a mobile partnership with KDDI to make Skype available to the second largest mobile network in Japan. He also led the team that broadened Skype’s presence in China, Australia, Taiwan and Korea.
Prior to Skype, Turochas was responsible for all business aspects of Yahoo!’s Mobile division across the Southeast Asia market. He joined Yahoo! through an acquisition – Yahoo! acquired WUF Networks, Inc., a convergence software company based in the Silicon Valley where he was the President and Co-Founder.
Turochas’ background has spanned across various industries which include enterprise software, mobile and consumer internet services. Born in Indonesia, T is delighted to be home again in Asia after spending a few years in the United States. In his free time, T enjoys scuba diving, yoga and searching for the next culinary adventure.
